Creative Health: What We’ve Learned, and How Far We Still Have to Go
Ben Anderson, Director of Lincoln Arts Centre, reflects on the inaugural Creative Health Network session, held on Monday 12 October 2026.
Every child deserves art. And I think we should talk about that. ❤️
This Saturday, 31 October 2026, Have A LAFFF! returns to Lincoln Arts Centre, and it’s a brilliant example of what can happen when we make a simple idea count.
A few years ago, we created Every Child. We brought together a range of individual giving schemes under one clear message: every child deserves art.
Because we believe that access to brilliant creative experiences shouldn’t be determined by a family’s circumstances, or where you were born.
And because, let’s be honest, the world without art is just… eh?! Art helps us make sense of the world and evidence now tells us how important the early years are to our sense of self and life chances as we grow up.
Every Child gave us a simple way to invite people to be part of making that belief a reality. And from that, Have A LAFFF! grew.
This year, thanks to your donations, we’ve been able to develop micro-festivals for October and February half-term, in addition to our Summer bonanza! I’m so proud that we’ve been able to create more opportunities for children and families to experience brilliant art, get creative together and feel part of something.
That’s what individual giving can do. Not just fund an activity, but help us build something sustainable, grow our ambition and make the case for even more opportunities in the future.
So, if you’re joining us this Saturday, thank you. If you’ve booked a ticket, come along to a workshop, brought the family or donated to Every Child, you’re part of making this happen.
And if you haven’t yet, we’d love you to get involved.
Every child deserves art. Help us make it happen. ❤️
