Venue Receives Vital Funding from HM Government

Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is delighted to announce that it has received funding from Round 2 of the Culture Recovery Fund to enable it to continue to deliver its vital work in to 2021. University of Lincoln, which owns and operates this city campus theatre and arts centre, applied for and received over £153,000 to cover a shortfall in income caused by the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, safeguarding local jobs and allowing the venue to begin to rebuild.

Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is announcing that, due to the effects of the ongoing global pandemic, it will not be reopening fully until Spring 2021 at the earliest. This means that all events currently on sale will be either postponed or cancelled, and customers contacted to arrange for exchanges or refunds.

Lincoln Performing Arts Centre's operations have been severely affected by the current pandemic and so to help retain our employees and reduce the long-term impact on the venue during a time when we are unable to trade, University of Lincoln has opted to take part in the UK Government's Coronavirus Job Retention scheme and so has placed its staff on furlough. Upon the staff’s return your enquiry will be answered as soon as possible.

Following the necessary decision to cancel their live performances this summer, rather than be downhearted, our brilliant group of teenagers have come up with a great way to stage their original material - turn it into a radio play.
