Not just a new name and a fresh lick of paint…
Following the full-scale re-launch of Lincoln Arts Centre, we wanted to delve deeper in our new artistic approach. So our Director Ben is taking us through some of the details...
We’re searching for volunteers to join our new group of Critical Friends.
Since September 2022 we have been on a journey of transformation through the Future Arts Centre project. A project which saw us co-design a new vision and business plan with over 150 people via public workshops and surveys. As part of this journey, we have become one of only 12 universities nationally to secure major investment from Arts Council England, as part of their National Portfolio of regularly funded Organizations (NPOs).
We are now looking for people who share our new mission, vision, and ethos to support our continued transformation as Critical Friends. The centre’s group of Critical Friends will be made up of 15-20 people including:
The group will offer advice and guidance, and act as a critical friend and advocate for the centre over the lifetime of the next three years. Members of the group will attend 3 hybrid meetings a year, advocate for the work of the centre in their own networks and attend events as appropriate.

Dreamers, makers, thinkers, doers, and creators, you’re invited to the Artist Meet Up at Lincoln Arts Centre facilitated by the Barbican Creative Hub. This is an open invite; opportunity to socialise with friends, other like-minded people, and maybe meet someone new.
About the Exhibition: The Community Resilience Exhibition brings together large-scale, vivid paintings and multimedia installations inspired by real-life stories from Lincolnshire communities. These works invite viewers to reflect on the power of resilience and celebrate the unique strengths that arise from diversity.
Join Theatre Company of Sanctuary Maison Foo in situ on their ‘A Seat At Our Table’ set for Persian Tea and a creative conversation about Sanctuary. We invite you to pull up a chair to our table to connect, discuss and share ideas on ‘How Lincoln can create places of sanctuary and welcome’ Maison Foo’s Meet Your Neighbour Street Installation will also be open to experience on Friday 7th March 10am- 2pm.
