The Grandpa with a Jetpack

Wed 9th Sep

Once upon a time, struggling writer/director, T.B. Connell, happened across a battered old copy of Anwir Scribes ‘The Grandpa with a Jet Pack’ at a British Heart Foundation charity shop.

After paying a whopping 25 pence for the book, they took it back to their flat and studied it, meticulously.

After years of this meticulous-ness Connell finally presents to you, beloved audience, the first (and likely last) stage adaptation of Anwir Scribes unrecognised, unsold, and untalented breakthrough novel.

Dale Knickerbocker was an inventor, self-assured as the sun on a summer day. He was a man dedicated to his craft, his craft specifically being the invention of a little thing that he named: The jetpack. Though, for reasons that he never could figure out the jet pack never quite managed to take off (pun intended). Now, Mr Knickerbocker sits in the twilight years of his life reflecting on a life that should have been Nobel winning. Though, thanks to the talented writer, Anwir Scribe, he has a final chance to get his story out there to the world. The only worry is, he might not be happy with the way it’s presented.

See for yourself on the 9th of September at the Lincoln Art Center, and draw your own conclusions: however improbable they may be.
