Get ready to tumble through the year, one month at a time.
Leap Year is a joyful, theatrical concert adventure from Sinfonia Viva and MishMash Productions, inviting children aged 5–11 and their grown-ups into a world where music, mischief and imagination go hand in hand. In twelve delightful chapters, one for each month of the year, the show skips from the frosty glimmer of January to the golden hum of high summer, with each scene bringing its own curious character, playful mood and musical surprise.
Bursting with laughter, audience interaction and many unexpected twists, this warm and welcoming performance draws everyone into the fun. At the heart of it all are three fabulous musicians — Sophie on violin, Matt on clarinet and Gareth on bassoon — who lead the way with charm, theatrical flair and truly magical music-making.
Leap Year is an irresistibly inclusive introduction to live music: lively, imaginative and full of wonder, with plenty of chances to join in along the way.
At a time when many organisations are talking about inclusion, the most powerful insight from the Ramps on the Moon Change Programme was surprisingly simple: stop thinking about “providing access” and start thinking about removing barriers.
