Applications are open to join the University of Lincoln's Arts Centre Saturday Club for local 13—16-year-olds.
Shane is a writer, director and award winning choreographer. Originally trained in the Indian performing art of Bharatanatyam, Shane brings a unique perspective to his creative practice bringing together a deep knowledge of an ancient artform with contemporary theatrical approaches and themes.
Shane is Artist In Residence at DanceXchange in Birmingham and Artistic Associate at Centre for Advanced Training’s South Asian dance strand Yuva Gati. He was Associate Lecturer at East 15 Acting School and has collaborated with Complicité, Shobana Jeyasingh, Royal Opera House, Icon Theatre, Theatre Ad Infinitum and Menagerie Theatre and most recently with Untied Artists for Out of the Box, the story of squash, a commission for the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

This new work by artist McCourt builds on her earlier piece Per Ardua, which explored the experiences of LGBTQ+ personnel in the RAF affected by the historic ban on homosexuality. Taking its title from the RAF’s official motto, Per Ardua Ad Astra (“through adversity to the stars”).
