The Christmas Library Competition is Back!
We've hidden 5 snowflakes in 16 libraries across Lincolnshire, and if you find them you're in with a chance to win two FREE tickets to The Snow Queen!
Lincoln Performing Arts Centre (LPAC) is delighted to announce that it has received funding from Round 2 of the Culture Recovery Fund to enable it to continue to deliver its vital work in to 2021.
University of Lincoln, which owns and operates this city campus theatre and arts centre, applied for and received over £153,000 to cover a shortfall in income caused by the coronavirus pandemic restrictions, safeguarding local jobs and allowing the venue to begin to rebuild.
Artistic Director Craig Morrow said: “I’m ecstatic and hugely relieved by this award as it allows us to support the livelihoods of local people working in a sector that has been ravaged by the coronavirus. It also means we have a safety net to continue to present creative experiences for the people of Lincoln whilst adhering to socially distancing measures, restrictions designed to keep everyone safe but which make producing work very financially challenging. This means more opportunities for outdoor events like our Fire & Light Trail in Lincoln Arboretum on 6 November and our socially distanced Christmas Shows.”

The Culture Recovery Fund is part of #HereForCulture the HM Government response to coronavirus pandemic:
“Culture creates jobs, supports livelihoods, and brings joy to everyone. The UK leads the world in the creative industries and we can all feel pride in that.
Now, in these challenging times, it’s our turn to show our support for culture. With an unprecedented investment through the £1.57bn Cultural Recovery Fund, the government is #HereForCulture so it can weather the storm of coronavirus and come back stronger.
And we are #HereForCulture too.
#HereForCulture is a movement that unites the public, government and cultural organisations in support of our fantastic cinemas, theatres, music venues, museums, galleries and heritage.
We want people to make sure that where they are able to visit local culture venues in their communities, they do so in a covid secure way. Plus, with more and more culture being curated online, there is no better time to support and enjoy all the new and exciting ways culture is available to us.
By being #HereForCulture, we aren’t just supporting the people in the industry, we’re also supporting communities across the country.” HM Government
