Lincolnshire Stand Up To Racism in association with Indie-Lincs Film Festival presents a film screening of Everybody to Kenmure Street.
In May 2021, a UK Home Office dawn raid triggers one of the most spontaneous and successful acts of civil resistance in recent memory. In Pollokshields, Scotland’s most diverse neighbourhood, hundreds of residents rush to the streets to stop the deportation of their neighbours.
Blending crowd-sourced footage with a clever re-enactment featuring verbatim testimony from the community who were there, Everybody To Kenmure Street is a moving demonstration of collective action and the power of peaceful solidarity.
SUTR stall from 6:30pm. Film starting at 7pm (duration 98 min), followed by a post-screening discussion.
£5 Standard // £3 Concessions // £10 Solidarity Ticket (funds from this ticket support the work that SUTR does)
Doors open 30 mins prior to event start time.
15 min interval included.
Age Guidance: 12+
Content Warnings: Strong Language, Violence, Racism & Racial Slurs, Hateful language.
At this special event screening, Dr Phillip Warnell and the MA Film Production Class of 2025/2026 will present the film work created by the course throughout the course this year.
Lincoln Poverty Truthers believe that inaccessible physical infrastructure and the push towards a digital society is holding communities and individuals back.
