We’ve only just began to recover after a crazy weekend at Lincoln Arts Centre that was jam-packed with arts, crafts, workshops, talks, performances & participation. We can’t believe how many lovely faces we saw walk through our doors! It was truly a weekend to remember, so let’s look back at all the wonderful stuff we got up to.
Firstly, the Lincolnshire One Venues Creative Weekender Industry Day. A day of celebration of and conversation on Lincolnshire’s Artistic and Cultural offer. With established artists, emerging creators and everyone in between and around, we loved being able to talk all things Lincolnshire. A highlight for us was The Big Reset, which saw our Creative and Executive Director Ben Anderson lead an insightful discussion between our panel, as well as those listening. We tackled difficult issues, and talked all things marketing, accessibility, and exposure.
Feedback from the day included: “It was a brilliant day, and incredibly useful and important to be in the room with all the big players in the Lincolnshire creative economy, to catch up and reconnect with everyone.”
“I left feeling inspired and invigorated”
“I enjoyed being with all creatives, I felt a sense of community of those in my field”
We’re so proud that we got to help facilitate a day that truly made an impact within the Arts Sector in Lincolnshire, alongside our LOV partners.
The next day we had our Family Fun Day. With an incredible performance of Out of the Deep Blue by Autin Dance Theatre, and local artists and companies hosting a multitude of workshops for all the family. From building with Lego to singing aloud, circus skills to creating stamps, there was so much going on and lots of happy faces of all ages at Lincoln Arts Centre. Even the team got involved!
With over 200 people visiting the arts centre, and of those surveyed 50% of attendees had never visited Lincoln Arts Centre before, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our upcoming Family productions of A Christmas Carol, Science: Live-On-Stage and There’s A Monster in Your Show!
