Routes In Roles

Do you love organisation and getting stuck into creative projects? Are you passionate about supporting the arts and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our Arts Admin Assistant role or our Creative Programmes Assistant role through our Routes-In programme.

Whether you’re familiar with ‘the arts’ or just starting to explore, we’re looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a keen interest in learning on the job.

As an Arts Admin Assistant or Creative Programmes Assistant you’ll be at the heart of making things happen. You’ll play a key role in supporting projects, helping to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.

Why are these roles called “Routes-In”?

We understand that breaking into the arts can be tricky, which is why we’ve created this opportunity to help you find your place in the industry. These roles provide a pathway to build a career in the arts, working with partners across Lincoln and beyond, as well as developing skills that can help you grow professionally in the future.

We’re not just looking for someone with traditional arts experience – we want to hear about you as an individual, what drives you, and your approach to work. Whether or not you’ve had a similar role before, we’re keen to understand your passion and potential.

At Lincoln Arts Centre and Barbican Creative Hub, we actively celebrate diversity, knowing that a variety of perspectives makes us stronger. We are committed to making our recruitment practices inclusive and offering routes into the creative industries for people from all backgrounds.

These roles are aimed at people early in their careers, so if you’re 18 or over and interested in making a mark in the arts, we’d love to hear from you! We encourage applications from individuals of all ages and backgrounds, particularly those from underrepresented groups. Previous barriers to employment may have shaped your career journey, and we recognise that early career doesn’t always mean ‘young’.

For more information or an informal chat about the role, contact:
