Re:Collection at Lincoln Museum | 29 April – 3 June

A new exhibition presenting works by MA Fine Art students, drawing on original objects and artworks from the Lincoln Museum’s collection.

This exhibition presents new works by Ellie Duffield, Oliwia Dulisz, Marcus Eaglen, Carmen Guy, Melody Phelan-Clark, Harriet Pritchard, Madara Vimba drawing on original objects and artworks from the museum’s collection.

A photograph of an imagined memorial by Michael Sanders, a delicate sampler made by 12 year old Jane Miller in 1793, and a locket enclosing locks of hair, belonging to a female member of Peter De Wint’s household, will be displayed alongside new work developed by artists from MA Fine Art at the University of Lincoln.

This exhibition explores memory, the memento and the monument through distinct methodologies and practices, questioning what a contemporary recollection might be.

Showing at Lincoln Museum in the Courtyard Gallery, open Thursdays through Mondays, 10am-4pm.
