Say hello to our Associate and Innovate Artists.
Lincoln Arts Centre announce the four Associate Companies and six Innovate Artists benefitting from the biggest support offering for early and mid-career artists in its history.
Lincoln artists are throwing open the doors to their studios for an exclusive look into their creative process and ongoing projects, accompanied by interactive activities suitable for all ages.
Super Juicy Studios hosts 13 artists working across various disciplines such as digital art, installation, live art, painting, and sculpture. This event offers an opportunity to engage with works by the artists, providing insight into each creative journey. ‘Super Juicy’ exemplifies the energy of the artists and the fluid nature of their shared studio space. Born from a phrase mentioned during a group discussion, the name playfully encapsulates a flowing, gelatinous concoction of practices.
Andrew Bracey, Senior Lecturer, Lincoln School of Creative Arts said: “Usually, the artist’s studio doors are closed, and we only get to see what emerges at the end of their process through finished artworks and exhibitions. This is an exciting chance to get to see the making stage of the process and get to talk to the artists about what they do and possibly help shape the future direction of their work.”
On Monday 4 December from 6pm to 8pm there will be an exclusive ‘walk and talk’ tour with refreshments provided, where each artist will detail their creative process, offering an opportunity to gain deeper understanding of their work. During both days, there will also be engaging activities for children, including an interactive installation created by Melody Phelan-Clark, which was first exhibited at Hub Sleaford as part of the ‘Together We Are Powerful’ exhibition.
* Please note that some of the ongoing studio work may include nudity and explicit or adult content for 18+ and children must be supervised *
