Applications are open to join the University of Lincoln's Arts Centre Saturday Club for local 13—16-year-olds.
Lincoln Arts Centre is delighted to announce it has opened applications to its Art & Design Saturday Club for the forthcoming academic year. The Club is free to join and open to 13–16-year-olds of all abilities. This year, the Club will run from 26 September 2026 to 10 July 2027 at University’s Nicola de la Haye Building on University of Lincoln Brayford Campus.
This Club is part of the National Saturday Club’s established nationwide initiative, with over 130 Saturday Clubs delivering eight different creative subjects. It provides young people aged 13-16 with free access to study subjects they love at local universities, colleges, or cultural institutions. Welcoming those from underrepresented backgrounds, the programme recognises the vital role extracurricular activities play in developing skills, building confidence and helping participants explore future career options.
The Art & Design Saturday Club will be led by expert tutors and will cover a breadth of exciting and engaging topics. In addition, Club members will participate in National Saturday Club events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals, the Summer Show where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition, and a Graduation Ceremony for Club members to celebrate their achievements – all for free.
Ben Anderson, Director of Lincoln Arts Centre said: ‘We’re delighted to be taking up the mantle of the University’s National Saturday Club, it’s been such a valuable initiative for many years and we’re ready to play our part in opening up free access to arts, culture and heritage to many more young people.’
