A second person behind them in a yellow dress with grey leggings does the same, with on leg up. Small colourful cartoon characters are put onto the image in various spots.

Have a LAFFF at Lincoln Arts Centre!

Lincoln Arts Centre is thrilled to unveil a brand-new addition to its programme: Lincoln Arts Family Fun Fest or LAFFF! Taking place on July 25 and designed with children and families in mind, this celebration of creativity, imagination and play is your go-to destination for joyful, high-quality experiences that won’t break the bank.

Whether you’re exploring puppet theatre, getting messy with hands-on arts and crafts, or grooving to live music, Family Fun Fest brings together some of the UK’s most exciting family-focused artists and companies. Think BIG fun, small prices, and memories to last a lifetime.

Access to culture should never be a luxury. Family Fun Fest is part of Lincoln Arts Centre’s commitment to making the arts welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to everyone. That’s why many of the events are completely free or low-cost, ensuring that no child misses out on the magic of the arts.

This new strand in our programme is proudly supported using public funding by Arts Council England and by generous donations made to our Every Child scheme. With your help, we can continue to make creative experiences possible for families of all backgrounds, and ensure that every child – regardless of their circumstances – has the chance to engage, express, and enjoy.

We hope to build on this, with school holiday and regular activities throughout the year. If you are a cultural venue or organisation in the city and want to get involved in the future by hosting your own events, we’d be very happy to team up with you to!

What’s On?

From interactive performances to playful workshops, Family Fun Fest is bursting with brilliant activity. Highlights include:

The Detective Dog | 1pm & 3pm

Tiny & Tall Productions, formerly Tessa Bide Productions, brings you Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie’s well-loved story, The Detective Dog on stage for Deaf and hearing family audiences.

Amma’s Story Shop | 10am

Join Amma – a travelling memory keeper – and her suitcase of mysterious objects as she shares tales from her story shop.

During this hour, you will be transported into a world infused with Ghanaian culture and magic as you help Amma bring her stories to life and explore the items she has brought along.

Bring Your Own Baby | 1pm

Join us for an afternoon of hilarious comedy, where you can relax and have a good laugh at the best comedians in the UK, without needing childcare!

There’s buggy parking, baby changing and more at all our venues, so that you can take some time for yourself and just be entertained.
