In this hands-on event, you’ll consider and reflect on the progress of access software and equipment designed to enhance the theatrical experience and fast becoming a central part of stagecraft, as much as set, costume, lighting, and sound. Whether you’ve experience under your belt or starting out in the industry, this event will offer insights and practical knowledge.

Highlights of the Day: 

• Keynote Speaker:  A renowned figure in inclusive theatre practices will share a compelling provocation, challenging us to think critically about our work through an anti-ableist lens, highlighting the need for greater focus on disabled-led practices and innovations. 

• Practical Demonstrations: Discover how people are creatively adapting technology to better meet their needs and improve accessibility, especially the innovative hacks, tips and workarounds that individuals are using with existing software. 

• Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow professionals, educators, and students passionate about inclusivity in the arts. Share ideas, experiences, and resources in a supportive environment. 

This one-day event is co-designed with the Technical Theatre and Stage Management course at the University of Lincoln.
