Children don’t just watch our shows. They decide what happens next.

Through participatory shows and creative workshops, Cracking Slate empowers young people to become the directors of their own stories. Founded in 2022 by Josh Lewis, a writer and producer from Grantham, we make work for children aged 6-11 that turns every audience member into a storyteller.

After the success of our debut production Lose the Path, Find Your Way, which toured theatres, libraries and schools across the East Midlands, Hampshire and London, we are thrilled to be continuing our work in Lincolnshire. As an Innovate Artist, we are excited to be developing a brand-new show and bringing workshops to more young people across the county.
