Yesterday, Wednesday 5 November 2025, Professor Becky Francis published the much anticipated review of England’s national curriculum and school assessment process: Building a World-Class Curriculum for All.
Ben Anderson, our Executive Director, shared:
“Lincoln Arts Centre warmly welcomes the government’s decision to recognise arts subjects as essential to a broad and balanced education. This marks an important step toward ensuring that creativity is not a privilege, but a right for every child.
Through our Every Child programme, we see the profound impact that the arts have on confidence, wellbeing, and aspiration. The promise of a “core enrichment entitlement” reflects what we know to be true – that access to culture, imagination, and expression is vital to helping young people thrive.
We share the optimism of arts leaders across the country and stand ready to work with schools, teachers, and local partners to turn this vision into reality, ensuring sustained access, proper resources, and meaningful opportunities for all children to experience the transformative power of the arts.”
Our donation scheme Every Child its currently appealing to provide 1000 children access to Lincoln Arts Centre which is being match funded by a local charitable organisation up to £5000.
Nearly half of the Autumn programme is designed for families and young audiences, reinforcing Lincoln Arts Centre’s role as a cultural home for the next generation. This is an opportunity to invite Every Child to come experience show’s such as Science Live on Stage: Get Set, Go!
Which is a production that collaborates with lecturers at University of Lincoln and Lincoln Arts Centre. This offers a fun and educational experience for all at one of the top 20 Universities for Biomedical Sciences and top 30 for Biological Sciences, as reported by the Complete University Guide.
