Tired Bear Booking and Promotions are proud to host a Celebration of Lincolnshire Music at the Lincoln Arts Centre.
Headliners – Hawxx
We are ecstatic to announce our headliners, Hawxx, the shapeshifting, punk infused alt-metal band based in London but hailing from Greece, Wales, England and Italy. While they are personal favourites of ours musically, they share our desire for positive change within the live music community, striving for an inclusive culture amongst the rock and metal scene.
‘This band is our chaos and our catharsis. We write songs about oppressive beauty standards, mental health struggles, violence against women, the unfolding ecological catastrophe and being a sensitive lil soul but also a norty gremlin. We are a feminist band and it is our aim to be part of changing the landscape of the rock and metal world and for our gigs to be a cathartic experience of love and rage, holding women and queer people at the centre.‘
Lincolnshire Musicians – LaVire and Soaper
LaVire, our very own heavy rock project, shall be performing their only Lincoln show of 2023, celebrating the ‘No Truth To Tell, Pt. 2’ EP release while kicking off the autumn tour. FFO of Halestorm, Pretty Reckless and Alter Bridge, LaVire bring a dynamic blend of heavy riffs, grunge infused grooves with emotive lyrics and harmonies.
Soaper, Lincolnshire’s very own noisy alt-rock two piece from Sleaford, join the bill, guaranteed to inspire musicians and music fans alike. With their crafted blend of relentless groove, math-rock riffs and stunning vocal harmonies, Soaper are not to be missed.
Harry Li
Opening the event we have another local musician, inspired by Nic Jones, Laura Marling and Jim Moray, Harry will perform his own songs, stylised around traditional folk music, adding a dynamic sound to our evening. After submitting his music, I was instantly impressed by his compositions and sound, and I’m very happy to have Harry joining the event.
Supporting our Young Musicians
Joining the bill are some of Lincolnshire’s youngest and upcoming musicians. With a huge amount of support from Shug Studios, these musicians are ready to take the stage, share their music while developing their own confidence and skills in the process. New Dimension, Inertia and The Shugs take the stage at LAC, and for some, for the first time in Lincoln, and we can’t wait to hear what our young musicians are bringing to our local music community.
