It's the 12th anniversary of International Festival of Digital Culture: Frequency. Which can only mean that Lincoln’s famous sites and cobbled streets will be transformed by innovative and immersive digital experiences as global and local artists takeover the city.
Immersive theatre takes on a whole new dimension. With Metro-Boulot-Dodo’s multi-person, co-location VR experience.
A group of six can journey together through a visually stunning performance space, guided by the precision of multi-headset tracking. Get ready to explore a darkly humorous, satirical tale set in a not-so-distant future where humanity’s obsessions with consumerism and illusory wellness lead to unexpected consequences.
Theatre Electric is a rollercoaster ride through the human condition, a thrilling yet thought-provoking look at our world’s challenges and the imaginative, sometimes bizarre solutions we devise.

MBD, an award-winning immersive arts studio, crafts experiences using 3D animation and game engine technology. Their work focuses on socially important issues, from climate change to LGBTQIA+ activism, often amplifying underrepresented voices. MBD’s reach spans the UK, Europe, America, and Asia, engaging audiences in critical conversations through immersive experiences.
Beyond art, MBD contributes to skills development in the cultural sector, shaping the future of arts and culture through participatory activities, workshops, and mentoring.

INTER/her is an immersive installation and VR experience that focuses on post-reproductive diseases and pain over 40’s women or those with female organs experience. It’s an intimate, emotional and haunting experience that’s accompanied by a wearable haptic garment that provides a visceral vibration response on the lower body where the diseases, occur alongside a 3D audio soundscape of real personal accounts.
8 Acts of Love, is an interactive exhibition experience inspired by outofsite_chi artist collective’s archive https://www.outofsitechicago.org/.
University of Lincoln Level 1 Musical Theatre students present Act 2 of this captivating musical revue of Rodgers & Hart’s greatest songs, which premiered on Broadway before its successful national tour, which celebrates the songwriting duo’s trove of romantic ballads and satiric gems. The event will begin with a 10-minute talk on the work of Rodgers & Hart from Professor Dominic Symonds.
