The screening of The Institute for Predictive Images will be accompanied by an interactive workshop that will include discussion of the video, presentation of the science of body image, and the opportunity to experience rudimentary embodiment illusions: adopt a rubber hand as your own, feel sensations as the rubbery skin is touched! Both artwork and workshop will open minds and shift negative feelings about body image. Why are our body concepts often so rigid when the science of body representation finds malleability and fluidity everywhere it looks?
